My favorite review ever

Of all of the reviews of all of the books I've published so far, this is my favorite: http://ronnieedith1190.livejournal.com/4379.html

"I am soon reading Reinhart and Rogoff 's new book.

Reinhart, Carmen Meter and Kenneth Second Rogoff. 2009. This Clip Is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Unwiseness ( Princeton: Princeton Imperativeness ).

The book is an encyclopaedic survey of crises through the lense of monetarism and public finance. The writers too casually bowleg about the face, `` fiscal repression, '' for any policy that incommode the fiscal system.

I enquire what the academic economics community would consider of a book that routinely depicted economical policies in footings of proletariat repression. I surmise that disregarding what the quality of the book might be such language would automatically convict the writer of unacceptable preconception."

Milan bleg

I'm going to Milan for the last week of August on business. Any suggestions on where to eat or what to see?

Legume

I've been meaning to blog about the restaurant Legume in Pittsburgh for a while now. Had a great meal there earlier this summer. They've got a kind of locavore vibe--everything's fresh and (insofar as it's possible) locally sourced. The menu changes daily; I'm posting the menu from the night we went there. The waitstaff is attentive without being obsequious (truly among the great words in the English language), and there's a freshness of feeling to the place. It's small, so on busy nights there's likely to be a wait, and it's BYO. But well worth seeking out if you're in town. It definitely gets a spot on my list of favorite small restaurants in America (which I'll have to actually write up one day.)
